Professional Profile

Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile.

I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT) with over ten years of experience helping adults, children, and young people overcome a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. My aim is to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.

Alongside my work as a CBT Therapist, I am also a qualified Mental Health Nurse. Throughout my career, I have worked across numerous NHS Trusts in England and Wales, military mental health services, and private healthcare, including the Priory Hospital Group. My experience spans community mental health teams, crisis resolution and home treatment services, inpatient psychiatric services, emergency departments, CAMHS, and specialist psychological therapy services.

Working in these diverse environments has given me a broad and realistic understanding of the challenges people face when struggling with their mental health. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, I understand that asking for help can often be the most difficult step. My commitment is to provide a warm, accepting, and compassionate therapeutic environment where you can feel safe to explore your experiences without fear of judgement.

I have worked extensively with adults, children, young people, and families, delivering evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to support a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and psychological difficulties. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), with extensive experience providing trauma-focused CBT and EMDR for individuals who have experienced traumatic, distressing, or life-changing events.

In addition, I am ADOS-2 trained and support multidisciplinary neurodivergence assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This specialist work has deepened my understanding of neurodiversity and enables me to adapt therapy sensitively to meet the individual needs of autistic people and those with ADHD, recognising and valuing each person's unique strengths as well as the challenges they may experience.

I have particular expertise in supporting people experiencing:

  • Depression and low mood
  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
  • Panic attacks and panic disorder
  • Health anxiety
  • Social anxiety
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Stress and burnout
  • Low self-esteem and confidence
  • Phobias
  • Excessive worry and overthinking
  • Emotional regulation difficulties
  • Adjustment to life changes and loss

I believe that therapy is far more than learning techniques—it is about feeling understood, building trust, and working together towards meaningful and lasting change. Every person has their own unique story, strengths, and challenges, and I tailor therapy to reflect your individual experiences and goals.

Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, patient, and easy to talk to. I value authenticity and believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of successful therapy. Whether you have been struggling for many years or are facing a recent difficulty, you do not have to go through it alone. Together we can develop a shared understanding of what is keeping you stuck, build practical coping strategies, strengthen your resilience, and help you regain confidence in yourself and your future.

Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I recognise the trust that it takes to share your experiences with another person. My goal is to help you feel empowered, supported, and hopeful as we work collaboratively towards improving your emotional wellbeing and quality of life.

I am fully accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and practise in accordance with its professional standards and ethical framework. I also hold full professional indemnity insurance to practise throughout the United Kingdom.

I would be honoured to support you on your journey towards recovery, resilience, and lasting wellbeing
