My name is Elaine and I am a fully qualified and BABCP accredited CBT Therapist, working with Think CBT in Litherland, Merseyside (L21). I provide CBT online only via video-link.

I have over 15 years' experience using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as my two main therapeutic approaches. I am developing skills in the "third wave" approaches such as Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. 

I have experience of working in a variety of services, including community IAPT, private sector and Forensic settings. I have experience of managing a complex caseload of clients with mental health problems ranging from mild to moderately severe. These problems can include Depression, Post Traumatic Stress, Generalised Anxiety, Phobias, BDD, Low self-esteem, Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

I can signpost along care pathways for clients needing other services, liaising with these services on their behalf.

I also offer clinical supervision to fellow HITs both qualified and trainees. I am accredited with the BABCP and attend regular training and fulfill the CPD & Supervision requirements for maintaining this accreditation.
